Our first retail store, EMPORIUM-INDIA, OPENS in Providence, RI,
importing primarily traditional Indian clothing and handicrafts. |
| 1968 |
INDIA IMPORTS OF RHODE ISLAND WHOLESALE BUSINESS BEGINS, and first
wholesale catalog is published (an industry milestone). |
| 1971 |
SPECTRUM-INDIA OPENS, 5th AV. NYC |
| 1974 |
Retail stores RENAMED SPECTRUM- INTERNATIONAL to reflect broader
sourcing, which includes Appalachia, Africa, and the Middle East. |

India Imports of Rhode Island changes its name to IIRI International,
Inc. |
| 1977 |
ADINI LABEL first appears in ready-to-wear women’s clothing. |
