1967 Our first retail store, EMPORIUM-INDIA, OPENS in Providence, RI, importing primarily traditional Indian clothing and handicrafts.
1968 INDIA IMPORTS OF RHODE ISLAND WHOLESALE BUSINESS BEGINS, and first wholesale catalog is published (an industry milestone).
1971 SPECTRUM-INDIA OPENS, 5th AV. NYC
1974 Retail stores RENAMED SPECTRUM- INTERNATIONAL to reflect broader sourcing, which includes Appalachia, Africa, and the Middle East.
1975 India Imports of Rhode Island changes its name to IIRI International, Inc.
1977 ADINI LABEL first appears in ready-to-wear women’s clothing.
1978 INDIA IMPORTS OF RHODE ISLAND FEATURED in Bloomingdales special India Promotion.
1979 ADINI UK OPENS in London.
1980's ADINI continues national distribution and appears in many NATIONAL DIRECT MAIL CATALOGS.
1990 ADINI VIDEO CATALOGS produced for wholesale, another industry milestone.
1990's ADINI PRIVATE LABEL PROGRAM continues expansion.
1994 ADINI EN PLUS LINE INTRODUCED and featured in national magazines.
